Fertile Imagining, Gardens in the Mind

I am consumed with the fevered planning of this year's garden: staring hungrily at my icy yard; gathering last year's seeds and introducing them to this year's unmuddied packets; imagining what, where and when. Never in my frenzied fantasy garden has a vegetable lifted itself from the dirt and gone for an afternoon stroll. Seeing this picture makes me realize: 1. I am still a novice, and 2. I need more paths in the garden.
